Description:

Miriam’s Promise is a non-for-profit agency serving Middle Tennessee. Our mission is to ensure the well-being of the child by nurturing individuals and families. Program services include pregnancy counseling, international and domestic adoptions, and counseling services.

Qualifications: Those applying must hold a master’s degree in social work or counseling (required to maintain accreditation), LCSW, LMSW, or LPC (or similar licensure) preferred. A minimum of two year’s adoption, supervisory, and counseling experience required. Salary range: $42,000-$48,000. Benefit options include medical, life, dental, and pension program.

Responsibilities: The Director of Program Services is a full-time position and holds responsibility for case management and oversight of domestic and international adoptions, pregnancy counseling, and any other programs that may be developed. The person in this position is also responsible for direct clinical supervision of case workers.

Specific duties include:

Assigns/directs workload and is responsible for the overall supervision of cases; ensuring proper case management, clinical services and case documentation

Review and approve home studies

Work closely with the CEO to ensure compliance with state Licensing, Hague accreditation, and the Universal Accreditation Act

Assign, develop, and maintain relationships with program referral sources

Regularly evaluate program effectiveness, creating a plan for necessary change/development of the agency’s programs

Conduct yearly performance evaluation of the program staff, check-ins throughout the year, and a mid-year review session

Working with the CEO to establish and monitor agency metrics of effectiveness

Administer the Client Information System database

Facilitate clinical staff meetings and individual supervision of caseworkers and interns

Coordinate training and education groups for clients

Accountable for the training, development, and continuing education of the program staff

Serve on the leadership team along with the CEO and Director of Program Development
