JOEY AND MARY KATE
We are beside ourselves with excitement about the coming growth of our family!
Joey and I met 10 years ago auditioning for a play. I knew at first glance that this man was the one for me and 15 months later we were married. We celebrated 8 years of marriage in June. Our oldest son is 4 years old. He is a genius! He loves reading, numbers and birthdays. Our second born is 2 years old. He is a wild man! He loves jumping, running and challenging our authority. Both of the boys love being brothers and get excited when we talk about bringing a new baby home. They take good care of each other and will take great care of any new addition to our home.
Joey is the world’s greatest high school math teacher. He loves math and teenagers so teaching fits him like a glove. Joey is also a very involved and hands on father who is a great example to his boys by loving their mother well. I, Mary Kate, am a stay at home mom. I have had the privilege of being home from the beginning. It is the most challenging and rewarding “job” I have ever done and I love it.
Our life is simple. We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We attend church regularly and we teach truth from God’s Word to our children. We are training them to be kind to each other, respectful to elders and good stewards. We believe in a close knit family and spending quality time at home. We value honesty, diligence and humility. We believe that all children are unique and should be loved and treated that way.
Ever since we married we agreed that our family was chosen to grow through adoption. We have prayed over and over for direction from the Lord and His timing. After our second son was born God removed the barrier and gave us the go ahead to pursue our third child through adoption. We were ecstatic! We have been praying for you, for your health, for your comfort and for your baby’s health and strength. We cannot begin to put ourselves in your shoes, but we can promise you that your baby will be loved, accepted and cherished in our family. The Lord knit our hearts to our adopted children years ago and the minute our babies come home we will know the fulfillment of a promise. We would love to meet you and want to share your story with this precious baby as time passes and age allows. We would love to talk about openness in this process and are willing to share information and time with one another. Finally, you may like to know that we plan to adopt more than once before this journey is complete.
