Long-time children’s advocate and Miriam’s Promise supporter, Dr. Dan Elkins will be honored for his service on Friday, April 7 by the Middle Tennessee adoption and pregnancy counseling agency at their annual Celebrate the Promise event at The Factory in Franklin, TN.
Elkins is president/CEO of Strategic Advantages, a counseling, executive career development, management consulting and career transition company based in Brentwood where he attends Brentwood United Methodist Church.
A Miriam’s Promise volunteer, board member and twice board chairman, Elkins is being honored for his tireless dedication according to Miriam’s Promise Executive Director Debbie Robinson.
“For almost two decades, Dan has supported our mission of offering hope and healing to thousands of Middle Tennessee birth parents, children and adoptive families coping with issues of grief, loss and transition. He has lived the heart of this mission in helping us ensure the well-being of the child by nurturing individuals and families,” Robinson said. “From planting flowers and building furniture, to being a mentor and coach to me as well as other board chairs, to supporting Miriam’s Promise with his time, talent and treasure, we are thrilled to be honoring this friend of many with our top honor.” Past honorees include Dr. Jan van Eys, Ralph & Sue Hillman, Mort & Jami Hill and Debbie Robinson.
Celebrate the Promise takes place Friday, April 7 in Liberty Hall at The Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Road, Franklin, Tennessee. Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. The evening will feature a delicious buffet, courtesy of Red Pony Catering, live and silent auctions, bluegrass music and is presented by Laura and Ted Fellman with Dr. Jan van Eys, Wealth Management Group of Tennessee, Pinnacle Financial Partners, HCA/TriStar Health, Susan and Jerry Faulkner, The United Methodist Foundation for the Memphis and Tennessee Conferences and Imagine New.
