The Robbin Holland Promise Award
We are proud to honor our dear friend and adoption champion, Bob Tuke, as the 2019 Robbin Holland Promise Award recipient. Like the award’s namesake, Robbin Holland, Bob has lived his life in service to others, namely as a tireless advocae for children and adoption.
Bob is a Marine, a husband, a father and grandfather. He began his journey in adoption first as an adoptive dad and then as a leading attorney in adoption law. Bob has been a part of Miriam’s Promise since its early stages and has served as legal counsel for the Board of Directors since 1991. Over the years, Bob has given thousands of hours to the community through Miriam’s Promise, Operation Stand Down Tennessee, and many other nonprofit boards. We are thrilled to honor Bob for his passion and commitment to the work of Miriam’s Promise, to children, and to adoptive families.
The prestigious Holland Award honoree says “To be honored with the 2019 Robbin Holland Promise Award is almost hard to fathom. First, predecessor recipients like Chuckles Collins, Dan Elkins, and Jan van Eys who have contributed so much to Miriam's Promise, it is just heartwarming to be among them. Even more pleasing, though, is the opportunity to help Miriam's Promise do what it does so well: Miriam’s Promise builds bridges through crisis pregnancy counseling and child placement services, offering assistance for domestic, international and independent adoptions, as well as post-placement services. It helps families to be created, to be happy, to be secure and to be nurtured through God's love.”
