Your child's identity through stages of development

Understanding adoption and what it means can be a complex and individualized experience. As a child who has been adopted grows up, they will want to continue to understand how their adoption is having an impact on their life journey. Some common challenges most adopted children face as they develop are processing grief and loss of their biological family, self-esteem and identity issues (i.e. race identity, sexual identity, gender identity), attachment issues, school challenges, mental health challenges and relationship formation challenges. In this workshop we will talk about how you can support your child as they navigate some of these challenges, so they grow up feeling loved, supported, and valued.
